This aqueduct was in use until the eighteenth century. Only about Script error: No such module "convert". with 55 arches of this structure of stone and brick remain. It is assumed that the aqueduct took water from the spring Lavovec (village Gluvo on mountain Skopska Crna Gora), Script error: No such module "convert". northwest from Skopje and brought water to city center.

The first phase of restoration work on the Skopje Aqueduct began in September 2021 and completed in early 2023, with the second phase beginning afterward.[3]
