Yangzhou University (YZU; Template:Zh) is a public university in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. It grew out of a merger in 1992 of six local colleges. History
Jiangsu Province Government proceeded to merge Jiangsu Agriculture College (Script error: No such module "Lang".), Yangzhou Teachers' College (Script error: No such module "Lang".), Yangzhou Institute of Technology (Script error: No such module "Lang".), Yangzhou Medical College (Script error: No such module "Lang".), Jiangsu Water Conservancy College (Script error: No such module "Lang".) and Jiangsu Commerce College (Script error: No such module "Lang".) into a new university in 1988. It was implemented in 1992.[1][2]
In September 2015, the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China jointly issued the Opinions of the Ministry of Education of the People's Government of Jiangsu Province on the Co-construction of Yangzhou University, which became a provincial and ministerial co-construction university.[3][4]
