It is operated by the third-sector semi-public railway operator Chizu Express.[1]

Yamasato Station is served by the Chizu Express Chizu Line and is 47.2 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Template:STN.

Station layout

The station consists of one side platform serving a single bi-directional track. The platform is located on in a cutting and is reached by stairs. The station is unattended.

History

Yamasato Station opened on December 3, 1994 with the opening of the Chizu Line. [2]

Passenger statistics

In fiscal 2018, the station was used by an average of 14 passengers daily.[3]
