Description: Weebeasts Book One: Origins, is the first book in a new series by artist and author Micah Linton. Weebeasts book series follows the fictional species weebeasts on their epic adventures beginning when the earth was one giant land mass filled with bizarre creature of all kinds.
Sample Chapter:
Weebeasts were scared and lived in dismay That a lonely lost creature just might stray
Into their guarded city lit so bright Such was the weebeasts fear of night
Review:
"Weebeasts," written as an epic poem, will appeal to those children who have an adventurous side; those who'd like to travel to far-off lands and learn about ancient civilizations. (While I read it as an allegory about colonialism and the subjugation of indigenous peoples, the target audience will just think it's cool.) Micah's illustrations are so inventive and unique, I tip my hat to him.

Thomas Forsyth (Indian Agent)
Major Thomas Forsyth (December 5, 1771-October 29, 1833) was a 19th century American frontiersman and trader who served as a U.S. Indian Agent to the Sauk and Fox during the 1820s and was replaced by Felix St. Vrain prior to the Black Hawk War. His writings, both prior to and while an indian agent, provided an invaluable source of the early Native American history in the Northwest Territory. His son, Robert Forsyth, was a colonel in the US Army and an early settler of Chicago, Illinois.
Biography
The grandson of a French emigre, his father William Forsyth was a Scots-Irish Presbyterian who immigrated from Ireland around 1750. A veteran of the French and Indian War, he was twice wounded while under General Wolfe at the capture of Quebec in 1759. Shortly after Forsyth was born in Detroit, his father was imprisoned as a loyalist during the American Revolutionary War. He became a successful Indian trader in his youth, spending several years living with the Ottawas on Saginaw Bay and, as early as 1798, he spent the winter on an island in the Mississippi a short distance downstream from present-day Quincy, Illinois.
He later became partners with his half-brother John Kinzie and his son, Robert Forsyth. The two established a trading post in 1802, at the site of what is now Chicago, Illinois. After marrying a Keziah Malotte near Malden in 1804, he moved to Peoria Lake where he became a successful trader and businessman. During the Peoria War, he served as a spy for Governor William Clark and was later an agent for the tribes in the region and was able to persuade the Illinois River Pottawatomie to remain neutral during the War of 1812. In December of that year, he and a number of others at the agency were arrested the Illinois Rangers under Captain Thomas E. Craig who later ordered Peoria to be burned. Forsyth was bitterly resentful of Craig's actions, however Craig defended himself claiming he, nor anyone else outside Washington, D.C., knew of his status as an indian agent. "It was supposed by the President that Mr. Forsyth would be more serviceable, to both sides, if his friends, the Indians, did not know this situation."
Forsyth and the others were eventually released by Craig dropping them off on the riverbank below Alton, Illinois where they were "in a starving condition (and) they were landed in the woods ... without shelter or food." He would later distinguish himself as an outspoken supporter of peace for both Native Americans and the U.S. government and, often risking his own life, negotiated with tribal leaders for the release of American prisoners. This was most evident in his securing the release of the survivors of the Chicago massacre, who included US Army officer Lieutenant Lenai T. Helm.
Officially appointed a U.S. Indian subagent for the Sauk and Fox at Rock Island, Illinois, he was later stationed at Fort Armstrong and reported the movements of the Sauk and Fox as well as its ever increasing strength in the region during the early 1820s. He became a respected figure in the region, however he was eventually replaced after 18 years of service by Felix St. Vrain due to Forsyth's insubordinate attitude, unwillingness to remain at the fort, and Forsyth's criticism of his supervisor. His successor, 31-year-old Kaskaskia sawmill operator Felix St. Vrain, proved to be unpopular and his leadership eventually resulted in the St. Vrain massacre. It has been speculated by historians such as Lyman Copeland Draper that his removal from the position as indian agent to the Sauk and Fox could have prevented the Black Hawk War.
Forsyth retired to St. Louis, Missouri where he died on October 29, 1833. He was survived by his wife, who died only four years later, and his four children.[1]

All about Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus is a singer/songwriter who presents awards and makes a lot of young kids' lives happy. On November 23, 1992 at 3:47 a.m. Miley was born, and her mom died but their family never liked talking about it. Soon after her death Billy Ray Cyrus( Miley's dad) married Leticia a.k.a. Tish Cyrus who Miley now calls her mom. Miley was raised in Franklin, Tennessee a suburb of Nashville at her parents' ranch. Her favorite hobbies were singing, acting, and definitely braiding her horse's tails. Soon her life as a ranch girl was over. Miley started to work with her dad in commercials and concerts- (at the time Billy Ray was a very famous country singer known all over America.) About a few years later when Miley was 12 years old, she came from Tennessee to Los Angeles to audition for the part of Zoe which is now called Lilly Truscott. Miley was turned down but the Executive Vice President Gary Marsh gave her a chance at being Hannah Montana. What he thought of her was that she had a great performance and attitude and was one of those people "who loved every minute of their life." Miley's career started when she was 13 and the show was on air at the same time. Their first episode, "Lilly Do You Want to Know a Secret?" It was a sudden hit on Disney Channel and more and more fans attracted to the show that they created even more episodes. As a thought the Disney Channel company even decided to make a Hannah Montana singer not just for the show but to perform concerts and sell albums. When her first CD came out it was a hit to all mankind music for kids! On iTunes, on Youtube, on Disney Channel, buying her CD at the store, and more! Hannah Montana became so popular that they made Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus accessories. Overwhelmed Miley was happy with her new life but started to find her bump in the road. Once her second CD came out, Hannah Montana 2 and Meet Miley Cyrus (attached in one box) came out Miley became frustrated. Her wonderful life as a popstar was being ruined for having to practice over and over for concerts and having to be stressed in taking pictures she feels uncomfortable with. In present day Miley is a very bumpy girl but is trying her best to recover the bumps she has overcome. Miley has recently finished her Best of Both Worlds tour and has made good friends from her band; for example Tory Jiroux. Just a tip of my knowledge:
