Ulvaceae (Template:IPAc-en) is a widely distributed family of thin green algae characterized by a flat or a hollow tubular thallus, reproducing via conjugation of planogametes or zoospores, and classified within the orders Ulotrichales or, more commonly, Ulvales.[1]
