History
The station opened as Script error: No such module "Nihongo". on 25 February 1897. It was renamed Uchigō Station on 20 December 1956. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987. A new station building was completed in November 2014.Script error: No such module "Unsubst".
