Count Script error: No such module "Nihongo". was a member of the Japanese aristocracy and government official in the Meiji, Taishō, and early Shōwa eras.[1]

In 1897, he became a member of the House of Peers.[1] He also served on the Board of Trustees of Gakushūin.Script error: No such module "Unsubst". He served as Grand Chamberlain from 1914 to 1928,[2] and went on to become chairman of the Japan Kōdōkai.[1][2]

He was the fourth son of Tokugawa (Tayasu) Yoshiyori and the younger brother of Tokugawa Iesato.[1] His childhood name was Gunnosuke (群之助).[1]
