- Not sure but I think the designation Shadow Poet Laureate may have been awarded to Mitchell by Red Pepper magazine, the leftwing monthly.
- What about Mitchell's most famous works? (The only one I know off the top of my head is To Whom It May Concern.) Shall we name a few of them and provide links to their texts where they're online. 86.134.53.141 12:50, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
Adrian Mitchell has died
Have just been told that he has died, but am waiting for it to be confirmed. Mrfixter (talk) 14:14, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Radio 4
An edition of Poetry Please devoted to Mitchell, with readings from Mitchell, friends and family was aired this week. The listen again option appears to be screwed up at present so I'll add it here rather than the article -
[[BBC Radio 4]] - [http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/arts/poetryplease.shtml Poetry Please], 15 February 2009
Perhaps someone would move it to the article when (if?) it becomes available ? -- John (Daytona2 · Talk · Contribs) 17:21, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Posthumous publication
A retelling of Metamorphoses by Mitchell, illustrated by Alan Lee (illustrator), was published by Frances Lincoln Children's Books in 2009. I have now covered that at the end of section Career (during a session on illustrator Lee).
As a far outside reader i wonder whether that is his last-published new work. Either way, posth. publication is worth covering here --and bringing to a close if it is known that there is no more to follow. ...
Toward that end here are two findings that i leave to you all.
- External link {contemporary writers} is dead. I don't know whether British Council: Literature publishes these c.v. for living authors only or whether there is a new eddress for Mitchell as a deceased author.
- WorldCat[1] "Publication Timeline" shows 9 post. publications by Mitchell in 2009, three in 2010, one in 2011. But WorldCat may list new editions of old works.
