Sirsiya is a village development committee in Parsa District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 1966 people living in 352 individual households.[1]
Sirsiya is now known for its Inland Container Depot (ICD) or Dry Port that is very close to the border with India and connected to Raxaul railway junction in India across the border.

The 6 km long metre gauge railway track from Raxaul was converted to broad gauge by the Indian railways to connect Sirsiya Inland Container Depot (ICD) (also known as Birganj Dry Port) that became fully operational in 2005.
