Singori

Template:Short description Template:Use dmy dates Template:Infobox prepared food Singori (सिङ्गौड़ी) or Singauri is an Indian sweet from Gharwal division, Uttarakhand made with Khoya and wrapped in maalu leaf (Bauhinia variegata).[1] It is similar to Kalakhand.

History

The origin of Singori is believed to be the city of Tehri in Uttarakhand.[2] It is traditionally made with khoya wrapped in form of a cone with Maalu leaves. Raja Maharajas liked this dessert very much.[3][4]

The dessert is prepared from Khoya and served wrapped like a cone in Molu leaf.
