Qir (Template:Langx)Template:Efn is a city in the Central District of Qir and Karzin County, Fars province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[1] The city has an altitude of Script error: No such module "convert"..[2]

History

On 10 April 1972, Qir was destroyed by a large earthquake, killing 3,399 people, two-thirds of the population at that time.[3]Template:Rp

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 16,839 in 3,722 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 18,038 people in 4,603 households.[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 20,010 people in 5,650 households.[6]
