Prix Volney

Template:Short description The Prix Volney (Template:Langx) is awarded by the Institute of France after proposition by the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres to a work of comparative philology.

The prize was founded in 1822 in memory of count Volney and was originally a gold medal worth 1,200 francs.[1]
