Franganillo B. in 1930.[1] As of August 2019[update]Script error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters". it contains only two species, found only on the Greater Antilles: P. quadrisignatus and P. sexsignatus.[2] The name is a combination of the Ancient Greek "para" (Script error: No such module "Lang".), meaning "alongside", and the salticid genus Plexippus.[1]
