Franganillo B. in 1930.[1] Template:As of it contains only two species, found only on the Greater Antilles: P. quadrisignatus and P. sexsignatus.[2] The name is a combination of the Ancient Greek "para" (Script error: No such module "Lang".), meaning "alongside", and the salticid genus Plexippus.[1]
