Pérez is a very common Castilian Spanish surname of patronymic origin.

Origins

The surname, written in Spanish orthography as Script error: No such module "Lang"., is a patronymic surname meaning "son of Pedro" ("Pero" in archaic Spanish), the Spanish equivalent of Peter.
