They are reported to occur in Ikwere, an Igboid (Niger–Congo) language of Nigeria.
Ikwere's two nonexplosive stops, transcribed as voiced Template:Angbr IPA and pre-glottalized Template:Angbr IPA, correspond to labial-velars Script error: No such module "IPA". and Script error: No such module "IPA"., respectively, in most other Igboid languages, and to implosives Script error: No such module "IPA". and Script error: No such module "IPA". in some varieties of Igbo.
