List of United States senators from New York
Template:Short description Template:Use mdy dates Script error: No such module "Multiple image". Below is a list of U.S. senators who have represented the State of New York in the United States Senate since 1789. The date of the start of the tenure is either the first day of the legislative term (senators who were elected regularly before the term began), or the day when they took the seat (U.S. senators who were elected in special elections to fill vacancies, or after the term began). New York's current U.S. senators are Democrats Chuck Schumer (serving since 1999, also serving as Senate Minority Leader since 2017, and the longest serving senator in the state) and Kirsten Gillibrand (serving since 2009).
