Lamprospilus is a Neotropical[1][2] genus of butterfly in the family Lycaenidae.[1][2][3] They occur in wet and dry lowland and montane forests from Mexico to central Argentina.[2]
Lamprospilus have sexually dimorphic wing patterns, to the extent that males and females have sometimes been first described as different species.[2]
