Lampedusa e Linosa (Template:Langx) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Agrigento in the Italian region of Sicily. Located about Template:Convert southwest of Agrigento and about Template:Convert southeast of Tunis, it is the southernmost comune of Italy. It includes the isles of Lampedusa, Linosa and Lampione, collectively known as the Pelagie Islands.

History
The colonisation of the island of Lampedusa started in 1843 under the Bourbon. The comune of Lampedusa e Linosa was founded on 12 June 1878.
Municipal government
Lampedusa e Linosa is headed by a mayor (Script error: No such module "Lang".) assisted by a legislative body, the Script error: No such module "Lang"., and an executive body, the Script error: No such module "Lang".. Since 1995 the mayor and members of the Script error: No such module "Lang". are directly elected together by resident citizens, while from 1945 to 1995 the mayor was chosen by the legislative body.
