The currency consisted of paper money issued on 4 April 1918 by the Script error: No such module "Lang". in Script error: No such module "Lang". (Kaunas) and was equal to the German Script error: No such module "Lang".. The Script error: No such module "Lang". circulated alongside the Imperial rouble and the Script error: No such module "Lang"., with two Script error: No such module "Lang". equal to one Script error: No such module "Lang"..

The reverse sides of the Script error: No such module "Lang". carry a warning against forging banknotes in German, Latvian and Lithuanian.

Aftermath

The Ostmark and Ostrubel continued to circulate in Lithuania from the end of World War I until 1 October 1922, when they were replaced by the Script error: No such module "Lang".. The names Script error: No such module "Lang". and Script error: No such module "Lang". were used for Script error: No such module "Lang". and Script error: No such module "Lang"., for example, on postage stamps. The reason for the replacement was the link to the Script error: No such module "Lang"., which already suffered from inflation (and would spiral into hyperinflation in 1923).
