Gerard Soeteman (1 July 1936 – 16 May 2025) was a Dutch screenwriter and comics writer. [1], comics based on his television series Floris [2] He worked together with Paul Verhoeven on several films, such as Turkish Delight and Black Book. He also wrote the screenplay for The Assault, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1986.
Soeteman died on 16 May 2025, at the age of 88.[3]
