Cyclanorbis

Cyclanorbis is a genus of softshell turtles in the family Trionychidae. The genus is endemic to Africa.
Description
In the genus Cyclanorbis the plastron has cutaneous flaps, under which the hind legs can be concealed.[1]
Species
The genus Cyclanorbis contains the following extant species:[2]
- Nubian flapshell turtle – Cyclanorbis elegans (Gray, 1869)Script error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters".
- Senegal flapshell turtle – Cyclanorbis senegalensis (A.M.C. Duméril & Bibron, 1835)Script error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters".
One extinct species is also known from fossil remains: Cyclanorbis turkanensis Meylan et al. 1990Script error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters"., from the Pliocene of Kenya.[3]
Nota bene: A binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Cyclanorbis.
