Chindrieux (Script error: No such module "IPA".) is commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.

It lies near Lake Bourget.

Geography

World Heritage Site

It is home to one or more prehistoric pile-dwelling (or stilt house) settlements that are part of the Prehistoric Pile dwellings around the Alps UNESCO World Heritage Site.[2]

Climate

Chindrieux has an oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb) closely bordering on a humid subtropical climate (Cfa). The average annual temperature in Chindrieux is Template:Cvt. The average annual rainfall is Template:Cvt with October as the wettest month. The temperatures are highest on average in July, at around Template:Cvt, and lowest in January, at around Template:Cvt. The highest temperature ever recorded in Chindrieux was Template:Cvt on 12 August 2003; the coldest temperature ever recorded was Template:Cvt on 7 January 1985.
