Broken Spoke Records was an American country music record label based in Austin, Texas.[1] Its owner, James White, was also the owner of the Broken Spoke dance hall in Austin, founded in 1964.[2] He founded the record label in an effort to broaden the reach of South Austin dance hall music.[1]

Its first release was the 1989 album Pure Country by fiddler and bandleader Alvis Crow, co-founder of the label.[1] By 1992, Crow had released four albums with Broken Spoke Records, including Cowboy I.[2]
