Botha is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within the County of Stettler No. 6.[1] It is located approximately Script error: No such module "convert". east of Red Deer and Script error: No such module "convert". east of Stettler.
History
The community was founded in 1909 around the train station named after Louis Botha.[2] Botha then incorporated as a village on September 5, 1911.[3] It dissolved from village status 106 years later on September 1, 2017, becoming a hamlet under the jurisdiction of the County of Stettler No. 6.[4]
Demographics
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Botha had a population of 180 living in 70 of its 78 total private dwellings, a change of Script error: No such module "Percentage". from its 2016 population of 204.
