Beratón is a municipality located in the province of Soria, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 40 inhabitants.

Geography

Beratón is situated at an elevation of approximately 1,391 metres (4,564 feet) above sea level, making it the highest municipality in the province of Soria and one of the highest in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Located at the easternmost point of the province, it borders the province of Zaragoza in Aragon. The municipality lies at the foot of the Moncayo Massif, within the Iberian System mountain range. The terrain is characterized by rugged landscapes, including hills, forests, and agricultural lands.[1]
