Bărăganul

The commune is situated on the Bărăgan Plain, at an altitude of Template:Cvt. It is located in the southern of the county, Template:Cvt southwest of the county seat, Brăila, on the border with Ialomița County.
Bărăganul is crossed by national road DN21, which starts in Brăila and ends in Călărași, Template:Cvt to the south of the commune. Road Template:Ill branches off in Bărăganul, connecting it to the town of Țăndărei, Ialomița County, about Template:Cvt to the southeast.
