Azumi-Oiwake Station is served by the Ōito Line and is 19.9 kilometers from the terminus of the line at Matsumoto Station.[1]

The station consists of one ground-level island platform serving a two tracks, connected to the station building by a level crossing. The station is a Kan'i itaku station.[1]

History
Azumi-Oiwake Station opened on 16 November 1915 as Script error: No such module "Nihongo".. It was renamed to its present name in 1919.[1] With the privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East. A new station building was completed in 2015.
