Axillary sheath
Template:Short description Script error: No such module "Infobox".Template:Template otherTemplate:Main other The axillary sheath is a fibrous sheath that encloses the axillary artery and the three cords of the brachial plexus to form the neurovascular bundle.[1][2][3] It is surrounded by the axillary fat.[1][2] It is an extension of the prevertebral fascia of the deep cervical fasciaScript error: No such module "Unsubst". and is continuous with the carotid sheath at the venous angle.[4]
A brachial plexus nerve block can be achieved by injecting anaesthetic into this area.[5][6]
