The Anchorage Press is a free alternative weekly newspaper based in Anchorage, Alaska, and owned by Wick Communications. It is published and distributed every Thursday.

History

Established in 1992 by Bill Boulay, Barry Bialik, and Nick Coltman as the Anchorage Bypass, it was renamed the Anchorage Press in 1994.

In 2006, Anchorage Press Publishing, which published the newspaper and the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman, was purchased by Wick Communications.[1] In 2022, the paper discontinued it's print edition and went online only.[2] In January 2025, the company announced it was looking to sell the paper.[3]
