Anaxander or Anaxandros (Template:Langx) was the 12th Agiad King of Sparta[1][2] (ruled c. 640–615 BC).[3]

He was the son of King Eurycrates[4] and father of King Eurycratides.

His grandson was King Leon of Sparta.[5][6]

Anaxander is mentioned by famous persons, including Tyrtaeus (a poet) and Pausanias (geographer).[7]
