He played for Al Arabi and Kuwait. His best performance in the Arabian Gulf Cup was in the 5th Arabian Gulf Cup where he scored 4 goals that tournament 2 against the United Arab Emirates national football team and 2 against Qatar national football team to help kuwait finish runner ups

Al-Buloushi is best known for scoring a goal against France in the 1982 World Cup. France won the game 4–1. He also played for Kuwait at the 1980 Summer Olympics.[1]

He won 7 Kuwait Premier League 1979–80 Kuwaiti Premier League,1981–82 Kuwaiti Premier League,1982–83 Kuwaiti Premier League,1983–84 Kuwaiti Premier League,1984–85 Kuwaiti Premier League,1987–88 Kuwaiti Premier League,1988–89 Kuwaiti Premier League with Al arabi a AGCFF Gulf Club Champions League with Al-Arabi SC (Kuwait) in 1st GCC Club Championship and 2 Arabian Gulf Cup 6th Arabian Gulf Cup 8th Arabian Gulf Cup with Kuwait and 2 Kuwait Emir Cup.
