5-MeO-DPT

5-MeO-DPT, also known as 5-methoxy-N,N-dipropyltryptamine, as well as O-methyl-N,N-dipropylserotonin (O-Me-DiPS), is a psychedelic and entheogenic designer drug of the tryptamine family related to dipropyltryptamine (DPT) and 5-MeO-DMT.[1][2][3][4][5]
Use
5-MeO-DPT is orally active, with 6 to 10Script error: No such module "String".mg representing a fully effective dose.[1] Effects begin within 1Script error: No such module "String".hour, and usually last 2 to 4Script error: No such module "String".hours.[1]
Effects
Little is known about the subjective effects of 5-MeO-DPT, but the nature of the compound is probably comparable to 5-MeO-DiPT, 5-MeO-DMT, or DPT, which are also psychedelic tryptamines/indoles. However, the duration of the above-mentioned drugs vary considerably.

Pharmacology
5-MeO-DPT shows affinity for the serotonin 5-HT1A receptor (Ki = 4.0Script error: No such module "String".nM), the serotonin 5-HT1B receptor (Ki = 1,800Script error: No such module "String".nM), and the serotonin 5-HT2 receptor (Ki = 7.1–655Script error: No such module "String".nM).[6] It fully substitutes for DOM in rodent drug discrimination tests and partially substitutes for 8-OH-DPAT in these tests followed by behavioral disruption at higher doses.[6] 5-MeO-DPT also substitutes for 5-MeO-DMT in rodent drug discrimination tests.[7]
Chemistry
The full chemical name is N-[2-(5-methoxy-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl]-N-propylpropan-1-amine. It is classified as a tryptamine derivative.

Legal status
In the United States, 5-MeO-DPT is considered a Schedule I controlled substance as a positional isomer of 5-Methoxy-N,N-diisopropyltryptamine (5-MeO-DiPT)[8]
