Template:Short description Template:Use mdy dates Template:Infobox baseball team season The 1995 Boston Red Sox season was the 95th season in the franchise's Major League Baseball history. The Red Sox finished first in the American League East with a record of 86–58, as teams played 144 games (instead of the normal 162) due to the 1994–95 Major League Baseball strike. The Red Sox were swept in 3 games to the American League Central champion Cleveland Indians in the ALDS.
