Zhambyl District (Template:Langx, Script error: No such module "Lang".) is a district of Almaty Region in Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the selo of Uzynagash.[1] Population: Template:Kz-population2013 Template:Kz-census2009 Template:Kz-census1999 The district is named after Zhambyl Zhabayev, who was a Soviet and Kazakh poet, who won the Stalin Prize of the second degree in 1941.[2]People often confuse with Zhambyl region,however these are two different terms.
