Worthville is a home rule-class city in Carroll County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 185 at the 2010 census.[1]
History
A post office was established at Worthville in 1847.[2] The community was named for William J. Worth, an American general.[3]
Geography
Worthville is located along the southern boundary of Carroll County. Eagle Creek, on the county line, flows past the southern border of the town and joins the Kentucky River less than Script error: No such module "convert". to the southwest. Owen County is to the south across the creek. The average household size was 2.76 and the average family size was 3.07.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 30.7% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 30.7% from 25 to 44, 23.7% from 45 to 64, and 6.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females, there were 112.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.4 males.
