PAW Patrol (franchise)

Hey! I ask that a “PAW Patrol (franchise)” article be made because, not only has a spin-off show (Rubble & Crew) has been made out of the main TV show, but also movies (PAW Patrol: The Movie, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, and PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie) So overall, the PAW Patrol series is a franchise, and I ask it to be treated as such…--Kirby682 (talk) 07:35, 25 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
It looks like the article you linked to is already more or less performing that function? Sergecross73 msg me 21:45, 26 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest editor on PBS appalachia page

I think there's some protective restriction of editing concerning PBS Appalachia Virginia's page. There is a relevant and credible source (current.org) that says the studio was funded at least in part by the original owners of the casino it is in the same building as. These owners are very wealthy and politically influential and their entanglement with the PBS station implies notable conflicts of interest. Finnishneat (talk) 21:42, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Finnishneat, you're making controversial claims that require references but were not supplying them in text. That's why you were being reverted. I see the Current ref you linked to on Mvcg's talk page and added another about Stacy and McGlothlin (the Current article calls him "McLaughlin"). Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 22:07, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
I added the reference to the hard rock bristol resort & casino page when I tried to edit it, and it was removed for not being notable. Funding sources are very important to public, nonprofit media especially a station like this that does not meet guidelines to receive federal funding. It emerged concurrent with the casino. It is the first all digital station, and its funding sources are unquestionably relevant as there is an implied conflict of interest with its location. The article, as it is, reads like public relations and extensively refers to press releases instead of independent media. Finnishneat (talk) 23:59, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Finnishneat You didn't supply the references in the edits you made, for one. I'd like to address the other issues:
  • In public broadcasting station articles I work on, I typically now include information on funding from their CPB annual financial reports (e.g. KSMQ-TV for a small-market example). That is not possible for PBS Appalachia Virginia because it does not report separately from Blue Ridge Public Television. Its financials would be mixed with donors, expenses concerning its Roanoke-area service.
  • The press releaseºesque material is mostly used for basic facts. I will say that some of the local coverage runs on the puffy side, for sure. I think some of the material about funding has been bolstered with your addition and the VPM piece I found on the casino owners.
Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 04:42, 1 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
The article needs a more unbiased perspective on the whole. It presents somewhat iffy argumentation on behalf of the station (why the area did not have a PBS station for a while and co-locating with another nonprofit as difficult by definition) without question. I know that I am not the best editor for the job, but the article definitely has some conflict of interest issues in the way things are explained. The stations structure (all digital) conveniently allows it to be less transparent and subject to less regulation. The station manager has described it as an independent entity from Blue Ridge PBS but the situation is far from clear. Finnishneat (talk) 05:12, 1 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Finnishneat, your concerns may be valid, but we can't write about them if reliable sources aren't. See WP:RGW. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 06:23, 1 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Made a merge proposal for the TV writers/creators Michelle and Robert King last week and haven't gotten any responses yet, so I figured it was worth reaching out. Any thoughts are welcome. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 08:01, 5 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of I Wanna Date a Race Car Driver

Notice

The article I Wanna Date a Race Car Driver has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Reality TV show that was rapidly cancelled. Tagged as Unreferenced and unimproved for 15 and 1/2 years. No other language has a reliably sourced article from which to translate. No reliable sources online Google; literally zero hits on Google news.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the Template:Tlc notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing Template:Tlc will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Seinfeld seasons for featured list removal

I have nominated Seinfeld season 2 for featured list removal. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured list criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks; editors may declare to "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Please note that this nomination also covers season 3 as part of a bulk nomination. RunningTiger123 (talk) 02:48, 17 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

World's Strictest Parents (American TV series)

Can anyone find better sourcing for World's Strictest Parents (American TV series)? I found a couple of "local teen to appear on the show" human interest type articles, but other than a review from Common Sense Media, I haven't found any sources about the CMT adaptation. Newspapers.com turned up literally nothing but TV Guide listings. The current sources in the article are either the show itself, or news articles about the people who appeared on it without mentioning the show at all, which also raises WP:BLP concerns to me. Requesting feedback on draft article: James Blake (Television Presenter)

Hi there,

I've submitted a new draft article about James Blake, a BBC Three presenter and documentary filmmaker. The article includes national coverage of two BBC One and BBC Three documentaries, a Royal Television Society Breakthrough Award, and references from multiple independent sources.

I'd really appreciate any feedback or a review from editors in this area.

Thanks so much in advance! Nomadfrau912 (talk) 16:13, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Also one question i have is that i can see some of his work is being shown on other networks such as RTE in ireland, Amazon Prime in Spain, Now TV in China as an example, should i add this also? Nomadfrau912 (talk) 16:14, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Link for reference: Draft:James Blake (Television Presenter) (not to be confused with Draft:James Blake (TV presenter); I don't know why a new draft was started today after this draft was initially edited). RunningTiger123 (talk) 16:24, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I created the draft from scratch because I'm new to Wikipedia and wanted to better understand the process by working through it myself. I've put a lot of time and effort into researching and writing this version, probably around 3 hours today and I hope that's okay. I'm more than happy to take on any suggestions or improvements — thank you! Nomadfrau912 (talk) 16:30, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
