Merging Wikiproject:Computer science and Wikiproject:Computing

Can it be done? We can decide either Compsci or Computing is a better term. The both serve the same purpose. I added the same request to Computing talk page. VectorVoyager (talk) 10:51, 4 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Let's centralize this discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Computing#Merging_Wikiproject:Computer_science_and_Wikiproject:Computing where there are already some comments. ~Kvng (talk) 19:48, 14 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Request for feedback on Draft Article: Rob T Lee

Hi, I’m working on a draft article about Rob T. Lee, a cybersecurity expert specializing in digital forensics and incident response. I would greatly appreciate any feedback on how to improve the article, especially in terms of technical accuracy or notability. Here's the draft: Draft:Rob T. Lee. Thank you! Requesting attention on Quicksort

I'd like to request some eyes on Quicksort. I started a discussion on the talk page about improving it and I'd really appreciate some other editors' opinions. Gracen (they/them) 16:49, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

The World Destubathon

Hello. Project members are invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is $3338 going into it, with $500 the top prize. There is $500 of prizes going into improving STEM and business-related articles and we want to see a lot of articles from these fields destubbed and older stale articles improved. If you are interested in winning some vouchers to help you buy books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for science, sign up if interested.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:45, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Bubble sort in parallel

Bubble sort says that it is O(n) when run in parallel. Someone recently added a reference for that, but it assumes that you have n processors. In reality, there will be a fixed number of processors, so it isn't really O(n) when run in parallel, is it? Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 01:14, 3 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hamming distance

The Hamming distance article is a bit vague in its introduction; see my question and a response to it at WP:RD/MA. Could someone reword the introduction so its error-counting is clearer? Nyttend (talk) 21:25, 11 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

What is vague about "the number of positions at which the corresponding symbols are different"? Put another way, what other interpretation or interpretations did you have in mind that the correct interpretation might have been confused with? I see you have some hints of this in your RD/MA question but you seem to have overlooked the word "positions" and focused only on the symbols. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:54, 11 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
