Can someone please delink this page from the front page? This is positioned as an introduction but this quote was not meant for the job. Jimbo covered a number of issues including speaking about "the case of proprietary file formats...". It's also dry and unpolished. lots of issues | leave me a message 12:52, 20 August 2005 (UTC)

I think another WP:TRYUNPROT can be done here, this time removing protection entirely, finally freeing the page about free encyclopedia. There is no indication of any vandalism, and vandalism can be reverted easily anyway. This statement was written by Jimbo Wales, but this is not WP:PG, and not even a commonly cited essay, all of which often have little to no protection. Template:Edit extended-protected In the fifth paragraph, second sentence, the part where it says "Wikipedia (along with its sister projects)...", link "sister projects" to WP:Sister projects, so that readers can read more information about Wikipedia's sister projects.
