The original Wikipedia entry was clearly intended as a jab. However, Baristanet is considered seminal in the emerging citizen journalism movement.

A note from the editor of Baristanet

Frankly, we were surprised that anyone had made an entry for us on Baristanet -- even a disparaging one. However, we are considered important enough to have been invited to a panel on blogging/journalism at the Museum of Radio and Television last week. And we know of three or four citizen journalism sties that have come into existence by following our example.
