Targa Rusticana

The Targa Florio, held in Palermo (Sicily, i.e. south of Italy) is a rally which is one of the oldest sports car racing events, and has given the (partial) name Targa to many other (mainly rally) races, among which (cf. Targa) the Targa Rusticana, not yet having its own Wikipedia page, but well documented on the web: e.g. here one learns that it is organized by Oxford people and takes place in Wales, which is (somehow) in the south of England. — MFH:Talk 01:31, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Tasmania, Australia

In Tasmania we read

Tasmania is a rugged island of temperate climate, and was considered so similar in some ways to pre-industrial England that it was referred to by some English colonists as 'a Southern England'.
