Topsy the Elephant was an attraction at Luna Park, but was abused and killed three people. She was killed by being fed a poisoned carrot, and the electrocuted in front of 1500 spectators by Thomas Edison, as a demonstration that AC was much more dangerous than the DC that Edison preferred.
