{{Wikipedia:WikiProject Zimbabwe/Sidebar}} Welcome to the assessment department of WikiProject Zimbabwe! This department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's articles related to Zimbabwe. The article ratings are used within the project itself to aid in recognising excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

The ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the Template:Tl project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories of Category:Zimbabwe articles by quality and Category:Zimbabwe articles by importance.

Frequently asked questions

How can I get my article rated?
Please list it in the section for assessment requests below.
Why didn't the reviewer leave any comments?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of articles that need to be assessed, we are unable to leave detailed comments in most cases. If you have particular questions, you might ask the person who assessed the article; they will usually be happy to provide you with their reasoning.
What if I don't agree with a rating?
You can list it in the section for assessment requests below, and someone will take a look at it. Alternately, you can ask any member of the project to rate the article again.
Who can assess articles?
Any member of the Zimbabwe WikiProject is free to add or change the rating of an article.
Where can I find articles to assess?
Many articles in Category:Zimbabwe still need to be assessed and any articles in Category:Unassessed Zimbabwe articles and Category:Unknown-importance Zimbabwe articles.

If you have any other questions that aren't listed here, feel free to ask them at the talk page.

How to assess articles

You can assess articles by placing the Template:Tl banner on its talk page (not the article page!) and using the two parameters, class (to assess the quality) and importance (to assess the priority). See also Template:WikiProject Zimbabwe/doc for further instructions.

Requested assessments

  • Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace in Zimbabwe - New article on CCJPZ.
  • National Youth Service (Zimbabwe) - Rewritten from a stub to provide sources and to include the government POV. Image added under fair use; is it in the public domain in the US? WillOakland (talk) 22:03, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Frederick Russell Burnham - This article on a Rhodesian pioneer has not been categorized or reviewed by WikiProject Zimbabwe, except to add it within the category, but it has just recently been nominated as a Good Article candidate in WP. Additionally, it is considered Top Importance within the Scouting WikiProject and Military People WikiProject categories , and it was selected by the Scouting WikiProjectas the biography of the month for September 2007. The scouting and military folks have made a number of revisions lately to bring it to this point. Thanks for taking a look and for adding your revisions, comments, and assessments. Currently under WP GA assessment. Done, passed GA.
  • British South Africa Company Medal - new article Done.
  • David Coltart - I've been pretty much the only one largely working on this except for the brief arrival of the mysterious Coltart. Btw, did anyone find out what his/her deal was? Was it Coltart himself? Doubt it though. If Gibson Sibanda can earn a B rating I see no reason why David Coltart should not.
There is no way Gibson Sibanda is B class. I have altered the rating. However, David Coltart is still a little way off a B class rating. Well done on all the work achieved so far.Mangwanani 16:02, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Kadoma - The origin of the name and the brief mention of the history of mining in the area need correction and amplification. Could somebody check. I've left a note on the discussion page.Klipdok 15:23, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
  • Banknotes of Zimbabwe — Significant structural changes made in the last month reflecting on the recent phase-out of the second dollar. This article is under rework to eventually reach FA status. --Marianian (talk) 10:01, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I have re-assessed the article and I believe it to be as high class as I am able to rate it. For it to have a higher class then you need to go to this page and nominate the article for a GA review. I can't do the review as I have contributed to the page but this is where you will get the best feedback. Mangwanani (talk) 16:25, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
