Spoken Wikipedia Recording process Prepare → Record (Read) → Upload → Add → Notify

Once you've uploaded the file, you'll need to add a couple of templates to the article in question so people can find and listen to your recording.

Step 1: Update the article

For a single file recording, add template Template:Tl to the "External links" section:

• Template:Tlx

Remember to update the date when uploading a newer version. Do not include it as a listed item: the box will float on the right-hand side of the page.

Several files

If the reading is broken up into multiple parts, just add more unnamed (positional) parameters:

• Template:Tlx
• Template:Tlx
• ...

Step 2: Update the article's talk page

At the top of the article's talk page, add Template:Tl:

• Template:Tlx

If the article was requested via the Template:Tl template, remember to remove it from the talk page as well.
