This WikiProject was formed on September 24, 2005, to better foster and improve articles about the U.S. state of Illinois with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on the formatting and layout of articles, which can be discussed at this project's talk page. To participate, simply add your name to the participants section.

WikiProject Illinois uses Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Illinois to monitor all Illinois articles needing images. In addition, this category helps Wikipedian photographers, living in Illinois, to locate those subjects near where they typically take photographs. The imageneeded= and in= parameters of Template:Tl populate this category.

• To request an image for an article, use the imageneeded=yes parameter in the Template:Tl talk page template. Please use the in= parameter in the Template:Tl template to specify the Illinois county, where the photograph may be taken. Up to three locations may be specified, for example:
