- Include references (all facts should cite their source)
- Wikify the article (See Guide to layout and Manual of Style)
If for some reason your article fails on one of the above criteria please list it at Cleanup articles so that another contributor can take a look and try to improve the article.

- Current articles to be expanded to include all known pages relating to Sheffield Wednesday. All articles to be added to the current articles list should have {{WPSWFC}} added to the top of the article's talk page.
- Required new articles list to be expanded to include all notable former players that do not currently have a page on Wikipedia.
- All pages listed on the current articles page to be checked for quality and any improvements needed listed at cleanup articles.
- All players listed at Category:Sheffield Wednesday F.C. players (except current players) to be included on Sheffield Wednesday F.C. players and vice versa.
