Proposals

If you have a new idea for a template, you can bold and just create it. However, if the template will be used in the main article space on a lot of different articles, it is probably a good idea to discuss it first. Project members have already learned the hard way that not all seemingly good ideas are viewed that way by other Wikipedians (and it turns out, after discussing it, the other Wikipedians were right!).

Page Banner	Template:Tlx	This template identifies and categorizes articles as being under the scope of this WikiProject. Place this tag at or near the top of the article's talk page.
Barnstar 1	Template:Tlx	To use this and other barnstar templates, add {{subst:Mixed Drinks Barnstar|text=put your citation here ~~~~}} to the talk page of the user to whom you wish to award it. Here is how you it will look: File:Barnstar Mixed Drinks.svg The Mixed Drinks Barnstar {{{1}}} Use this award to let Project participants and other editors who are interested in mixed drinks and cocktails know how much you appreciate their efforts by presenting this special WikiProject Award.
Infobox	Template:Tl	Template:Template other This displays a highly configurable, user-friendly table of information concerning mixed drinks, cocktails, drinkware, and garnishes in the upper right of each related article
IBA Official Cocktails	Template:Tl	An IBA Official Cocktail Only place this tag immediately following the names of cocktails designated as International Bartender Association Official Cocktails. This template is for use only within sections of articles which describe one of these cocktails, but the entire article is not about the cocktail, and Template:Tl would be inappropriate to include. Note: The Template:Tl has built-in support for IBA Official Cocktails, and the following mini-badge should not be used anywhere other than in lists linking to the cocktails.
IBA Official Cocktails	Template:Tl	IBA As above, but for inline use within lists.

Navigation

• Template:Tl - navigation box for all WikiProject Mixed Drinks administration pages (not for regular articles or categories!).

Userboxes

• Template:Tl - Notes that should be transcluded into the docs for any userboxes for use by Project Participants.

General Templates

These templates are used throughout Wikipedia. There is no need to reinvent the wheel when these work fine as-is.

• {{R to list entry}} - Use on redirect pages that used to be full-articles but now point to an entry in one of our lists. Add it immediately following the redirect statement on appropriate redirect pages.
