Template:WikiProject status This is the higher education task force, part of the Education in Canada WikiProject. Its primary goal is to manage articles related to tertiary education in Canada.

Scope

This task force maintains articles under these criteria:

  • general higher education articles for each province and territory, and a national article
  • universities, colleges, and other tertiary educational institutions
  • organisations related to higher education, including journals, independent agencies, and government agencies
  • funding institutions
  • higher education finance, scholarships, and organisations that disburse such funds
  • research organisations associated with higher education

It also maintains lists, templates and categories related to these articles.

Achievements

  • A fact from the following appeared on Wikipedia's Main page in the Did you know? column:
  • Article improvement:
    • July 29, 2008, Stub-Class articles with error tags cleaned up
    • October 8, 2008, twenty articles added to Start-Class (without error tags) in the task force's first three months

Tasks

  • Update current articles with more current information, where applicable.
  • Improve style and formatting of articles per Manual of Style
  • Categorise and tag all articles as appropriate.
  • Improve articles to C-class or higher.
  • Upload new media (photographs, illustrations, video, etc.) and link them to articles.
  • Start new articles; see suggestions below.

For stub articles about a university, college or other tertiary education institution, use Template:Tl. For articles related to government institutions and agencies, use Template:Tl.

There is no specific infobox for use by this task force. Please use the most appropriate one for the subject of the article in question. For example, a university article would use Template:Tl.

Apply Template:Tl to the talk page of each article. Ensure that education=yes is included, so that it will be placed in the correct categories under management by the Education in Canada WikiProject.
