Scope

This task force/work group deals specifically with the characters, publications, storylines, locales, and, to a lesser extent, creators of comics published by Marvel Comics, as well as these characters, etc., appearances in other media.

• Tag articles.
• Recruit interested editors.
• Collect categories, resource links, and templates.
• Review the image at Category:Comics images lacking original published source/Marvel to provide original publication source information (title, issue, cover date, artist(s)).
• Expand the open task listing above.
• Cleanup List of Marvel Comics characters and its various subpages.
• Review Category:Marvel Comics character stubs and merge to List of Marvel Comics characters as appropriate.

Resources

Good databases:

• Grand Comics Database - good breadth and depth. Templates: Template:Tl and Template:Tl
• Comic Book DB - similar good coverage with a cleaner and more accessible front end. Template: Template:Tl
• Big Comic Book DataBase - useful as a back-up but coverage isn't as wide but it may be deeper for some titles
• CBDB - another option but a bit less user-friendly
• UXN - a fairly comprehensive database in regards to X-men related books. Full synopsizes, character biographies, and creator information.

Useful for news, reviews and interviews:

• Newsarama - good for news updates and announcements as well as interviews
• Comic Book Resources - ditto
• Comics Bulletin
• Broken Frontier - can be another useful source for reviews
