Wiki143:WikiProject Brazil/Assessment
{{Wikipedia:WikiProject Brazil/navigation}}
Articles that are part of WikiProject Brazil are assessed on a combination of factors by placing the Template:Tl template on an article’s talk page, along with tags for: class, importance, task force, and optional editor flags.
Progress bars
The proportion of all articles with an assessed project banner is:
66.7% assessed (estimate: some more article talk pages may still need a banner)
The proportion of all articles with known importance is:
100% known importance (estimate: some more articles may still need a banner)
Assessment Log
The Wikipedia Version 1.0 Editorial Team generates an assessment log of all articles that have been recently renamed, reassessed, assessed or removed.

Importance Scale
The criteria used for rating article importance are not meant to be an absolute or canonical view of how significant the topic is. Rather, they attempt to gauge the probability of the average reader of Wikipedia needing to look up the topic (and thus the immediate need to have a suitably well-written article on it). Thus, subjects with greater popular notability may be rated higher than topics which are arguably more "important" but which are of interest primarily to students of Brazil.
Note that general notability need not be from the perspective of editor demographics; generally notable topics should be rated similarly regardless of the country or region in which they hold said notability. Thus, topics which may seem obscure to a Western audience—but which are of high notability in other places—should still be highly rated.

Templates to remove and replace with Template:Tl:
- WikiProject South America is an inactive project and the template Template:Tl should not be used for articles that are related only to Brazil and to no other South American countries.
- WikiProject Latin America is similar to WP South America. As above, the Template:Tl template may be removed when found on Brazil-only articles.
