Family Guy is an American animated television series, created by American actor, Seth MacFarlane for FOX Broadcasting Company in 1999. The show follows dysfunctional family, The Griffins and their lifestyle. The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island. In 2002, Family Guy was cancelled — however after increasing DVD sales and, large amounts of viewers on Adult Swim, the show resumed in 2005.

Family Guy made broadcast its first episode on New Year's Eve (31 December), 1999
